Portraits of Temple Grandin at Colorado State University. Grandin is a Doctor of Animal Science best known for her work related to the humane treatment of livestock throughout their life and ultimate slaughter. Her work in this area draws from her condition as a person with high-functioning autism; her visual sensitivities contribute to her research and ability to isolate things that stress livestock passing through factory lines and other stressful environments.
